The Accounts Receivable Clerk is a full-time role that will take the lead I ensuring receipt of customer payments.  The position is based out of our corporate office in Kearny Mesa and will work directly with the CFO.  The right person will be professional in their interaction with customers when seeking payment for outstanding invoices.

Major Responsibilities

  • Answer customer billing questions as well as field customers to the correct departments
  • Process all Credit Card Transactions submitted for payment
  • Analyze customer credit holds on Service requests
  • Maintain all Credit Memos
  • Make at least 30 outgoing calls a day
  • Analyze disputes discuss with appropriate manager
  • Gather and send pertinent information to customer as required
  • Write letters of explanation as required
  • Liaison with Collection Agency
  • Contact customer and follow through with NSF checks
  • Notify Contracts department, Lease administrator, Sales department and Payroll of unpaid equipment deals on the aging

 

Requirements

  • Excellent keyboard skills are required
  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Personal drive and internal motivation toward high achievement
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • BS/BA/AA degree in business or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of collections and/or accounting experience required
  • Previous customer service experience
