The primary focus of the Information Technology Manager is to guide an IT department of 3 Support Technicians in fielding internal end user IT trouble tickets, involving multiple software and hardware issues.  This person will be responsible for ensuring the health of our IT department and their consistent availability and uptime.  This requires an individual with patience yet a steadfast approach to solving problems.



  • Manage and mentor the IT staff including performance evaluations, hiring, and team development.
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, handheld/wireless devices, printers, copiers, and related computing technologies.
  • Manages IT service, software, and hardware vendor relationships ensuring needs are met and vendors are providing value-added services.
  • Responsible for IT services that include but not limited to: Network & Telecomm, Data Center, Server and Storage, End User Collaboration, Application Support and IT Operations.
  • Ensure that technology solutions meet business requirements, industry standards and incorporate opportunities arising from emerging technologies.
  • Prioritize and manage the work load of department personnel.
  • Develop and enforce policy and procedures to ensure the protection of IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of company information.
  • Performs asset management and enforces process for the continual and accurate tracking of all assets.
  • Ensures that all IT systems are appropriately updated to the required software revisions to ensure business compliance.
  • Remains available during off-peak hours to respond to support service issues.
  • Provide regular updates to managers and teammates regarding ongoing projects, network and system status, as well as outages or technology challenges that may impact the company.
  • Monitor network security status, as well as ensuring antivirus software is operating properly.
  • Write supporting technical documentation as it relates to this position.
  • Assist Sales and Marketing with the company's website and social media.
  • Assist with the customization, maintenance and configuration of the company's CRM and SharePoint programs.
  • Actively manage all aspects of the corporate infrastructure including network management, systems administration, telecommunications infrastructure, procurement, help desk, disaster recovery, security and hosted / co-located services.
  • Spearhead and develop next generation information technology infrastructure and support environment to decrease costs while continuing to provide excellent user experiences.
  • Advises on elements of IT strategy relevant to the practice for systems design development, acquisition and integration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 3 years' minimum of IT industry related experience including a minimum of 2 years in an advanced desktop services support role.
  • Previous leadership experiences required
  • Microsoft Certification a plus  
  • Proven project management and response skills.
  • Advanced-level customer service experience. (required)
  • Effective end-user call management, prioritization and escalation expertise; ability to identify, organize and prioritize requests and forward to the proper tier of 3rd party technicians.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft CRM, GP, and SharePoint
  • Experience with LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) technologies.
  • Experience configuring switches (VLANs). Brocade preferred.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining SANs (Storage Area Networks). Dell Equallogic experience preferred.
  • VOIP (Voice over IP) telephony experience. Shoretel experience preferred.
  • Experience with Server Virtualization and maintenance. VMware preferred.
  • Experience with server backup technologies. Quest Rapid Recovery and Microsoft Azure preferred.
  • Microsoft Office 365 Experience. (at minimum, Microsoft Exchange 2007+)
  • IIS experience preferred
  • Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy Management (GPO)
