The IT Help Desk Technician is responsible for fielding end user IT trouble tickets, involving multiple software and hardware issues. This person will be responsible for ensuring the health of our end users IT assets and their consistent availability and uptime.  This is a strong customer service/technical position that requires an individual with patience yet a steadfast approach to solving problems.

 Major Responsibilities:

  • Fielding/Closing internal IT Help Desk tickets
  • Windows PC troubleshooting
  • Network printer installation
  • Software troubleshooting and configuration
  • General network troubleshooting
  • ShoreTel Phone System troubleshooting
  • Setup new PCs for new employees
  • Various other IT specific tasks 

Basic Requirements:

  • Strong IT background
  • Strong Network & PC/Mac knowledge
  • Software applications support
  • Windows desktop/server and Mac operating systems
  • Windows office applications
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening and questioning.
  • Detail oriented Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills to assist in problem solving.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently as well as to meet deadlines.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office. (Excel, Word, Access, etc...) Adobe Applications, Windows 7/10. 

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS/BA/AA degree in Information Systems or other related field.
  • Experience in technical support.
  • Knowledge in E-Automate, Connectwise, ShoreTel.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ are a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP
