The primary focus of the Software Support Technician is fielding end user tickets, involving application and software installs, providing remote or onsite technical support, and managing the new and existing customer accounts. This person will be responsible for ensuring the consistent availability and uptime of our customers machines and applications.  This is a strong customer service and technical position that requires an individual with patience yet a steadfast approach to solving problems.

 

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Fielding/Closing Help Desk tickets
  • Windows and Mac server environment troubleshooting
  • Software troubleshooting and configuration
  • General network troubleshooting
  • Various other IT specific tasks

 Basic Requirements

  • Entry-Level to Intermediate technical background
  • Strong Network & PC/Mac knowledge
  • Software applications support
  • Windows office applications
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening and questioning.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills to assist in problem solving.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently as well as to meet deadlines.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office. (Excel, Word, Access, etc...) Adobe Applications, Windows 7, 8, 10.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS/BA/AA degree in Information Systems or other related field.
  • Experience in technical support.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ are a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of IP addresses, subnets, and proxies.
